The College of Oral and Dental Surgery at Misr University for Science and Technology (MUST) recently organized an insightful workshop titled “Writing Multiple Choice Tests: Some Rules and Guidelines.” The event was led by Prof. Fahmy Abdel al Hassanein, Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Cairo University, who shared his expertise on designing effective and reliable multiple-choice assessments. 

The workshop was attended by Prof. Hala El-Menoufy – Dean of the College of Oral and Dental Surgery, along with the vice deans and all College members. The session provided valuable guidelines on structuring high-quality multiple-choice questions (MCQs), emphasizing clarity, fairness, and alignment with learning objectives. Prof. Abdel al Hassanein highlighted common pitfalls in MCQ design and offered practical solutions to enhance assessment accuracy. 

The College members actively participated, exchanging ideas on best practices for student evaluation.  This workshop underscores the college’s commitment to continuous professional development and elevating educational standards in academic training.
